We are now in the “new normal” with regards to how we live at home, how we shop, how we communicate, and how we spend our time away from work. Kitchens are the focus of family activity and gathering for most families.
Islands and their use in kitchens is becoming more and more an important part of kitchen design. In the “new normal” the use of islands in today’s kitchen organization employs the use of many types storage from cookbooks to computers, to pots and pans, warming drawers, microwaves and much more! Tables of smaller proportions are even attached as an extension onto some islands.
Surface area is also a premium, and islands add more usable surface area to the kitchen. Architectural design pieces like decorative legs, corbels and the like are also incorporated in today’s kitchen islands so they look more like furniture pieces.
Come by our 1st Choice Cabinetry showroom, and let us show you some great island designs for your lifestyle!
