Step 1: Explore the possibilities
We know you’re not an expert in cabinetry design, but you are an expert in your own individual style. Before you put any plans into motion, ask yourself these important questions:

• What would you like to change about your current kitchen (lack of storage, colors, style)?
• What elements of your present kitchen do you enjoy?
• How would you best describe your decorating style (Modern? Traditional? Country? Cozy? Formal? Functional? Retro?)
• What are your favorite colors?
• What wood types do you prefer?
• How many people are in your household?
• What secondary activities will take place in the kitchen? (working, studying, entertaining guests, hobbies, family gatherings)
• What types of specialized storage will you need? (dishes, pots and pans, collectibles, glassware, spices, cookbooks, wine bottles)
• Is the environment important to you? (sustainable woods, recycled surface components, non-toxic, environmentally-friendly substances)

Step 2: Visit our showroom
Step inside the front door of our showroom and prepare to be amazed by our selection. Take your time wandering around the displays, running your hands over cool, smooth countertops and peeking inside solid cherry cabinets. You’ll see over 700 different styles and colors by manufacturers including Wood-Mode, Fieldstone, Kabinart and Door Components.

Step 3: Meet with a designer
Once you’re ready, one of our professional designers will help you move forward with your project. We take pride in making you feel right at home, and we’ll take the time to get to know your needs, tastes, and expectations. Once we’ve narrowed down your choices, our staff will go to work creating previews of a design you’ll later modify and refine.

What to bring with you:

• An idea of when you would like the project to be started, and when you would like it to be completed
• Your budget for the project
• A list of features you’d like to have in your new space
• Any magazine pictures or photos of rooms you like or details you find interesting

Step 4: Installation begins
After you and your designer have finalized a plan, 1st Choice Cabinetry will coordinate the installation for your home in an efficient, smooth process. We’ll measure your kitchen, deliver the materials, complete installation—and, once we’ve finished the project, we’ll make sure everything is in place and in working order so you can start enjoying your new space as soon as possible.
